Happier, healthier and more stable in Uganda

For over 13 years, ECLT has strategically invested over 3 million USD to fight child labour and promote sustainable development in Uganda. From 2013 to 2018, ECLT worked closely with local implementing partners, UWESO, to support 80,000+ children and 30,000+ adults to access quality education, learn about child labour and safe agricultural practices, earn a sustainable income, and generally live better.

But, don't take our word for it. Hear directly from our project communities about the changes people saw:

What was our impact?

To better understand the impact of the REALISE project, ECLT asked over 300 people from our project communities what changed for them. They said that they are now:

  • Healthier
  • More financially stable
  • Happier
  • Better educated
  • More likely to send children to school
  • More confident
  • More optimistic
