Training the child labour leaders of tomorrow
The ECLT Foundation is a growing organisation that aims to strengthen its impact on addressing child labour. Through our internship programme, recent graduates gain experience on the way to becoming future leaders in the elimination of child labour and, more broadly, developing their skills and knowledge about business and human rights issues.
What is the Internship Programme?
The ECLT internship programme is a way for motivated young professionals to join the ECLT team for a 12-month period. While strengthening the Foundation, the interns gain real-world professional experience, as well as an in-depth understanding of child labour and complex situations faced by members of rural communities where tobacco is grown.
Who can apply?
Applicants to the internship programme should meet the following criteria:
- Be a minimum 20 years old on at the start of the internship.
- Be currently studying or have completed University-level studies in the past year.
- Not be related to an ECLT staff or board member
- Holder of a valid Swiss work permit or eligible to work in Switzerland.
What is offered to interns?
ECLT offers interns a dynamic work environment, opportunities for professional growth and a generous stipend to cover basic living expenses.
Where do ECLT interns work?
ECLT interns work at the Foundation’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Some international travel may be required.
